Spider Plant (Chlorophytum)

I still don't know if I should plant this baby to a pot of soil. I know for sure though that it is growing wild. When Ellen (LR Admin Sec) gave this plant to me it was just 2 little stalks and it was in a little cup of water. For the first 2 weeks, I had it sets in that cup until it was too tall for it and thats when I transfer it to this base.
Few weeks ago, a couple white little flowers came out from that long stem and it lasted for at least 4 days.
I don't know if planting it to the soil is better.
all I know is that leaving this plant in that base is easy to take care of.
